Jacqueline Smith will be giving her workshop/talk on The Black Farmer: History & Contributions Africa to Present Day America at the 7th annual Black Urban Growers conference in Atlanta, Georgia.  The focus of the workshop will be on the history of the black farmer in the United States and Ghana along with indigenous growing practices and food cultivation.  The BUGs conference will be held November 10-12, 2017 at Georgia State University 55 Gilmer Street, Atlanta, Georgia 30303.  Go to to register for the conference.
